Rhea Liang The dismissal of cervical pain was rationalised by claiming that there are no nerve endings in the cervical tissues & so it wasnโt possible to โfeel painโ. I suspect that this is the underlying reason why there was resistance to providing pain relief.

Rhea Liang It's the same with post-surgical pain. Some people, often females, have to be in tears before they receive appropriate analgesia. When discharged from the hospital, they feel like they are hung out to dry.

Rhea Liang If practitioners would just take note of the patient's body language and act accordingly, we would not be in this shamozzle with endo now, but address it seriously and start early. Pain is not normal. Untreated, it can take over people's minds and bodies.

Such a treat to see Dinesh Palipana OAM, ED registrar, open the QLD Medical Student Council's annual ED team competition Bond University. Such a pleasure to be one of the judges, and biggest congrats to the winning UQ News team and James Cook Uni who placed 2nd and 3rd. ๐๐๐
