Born in 2005, Saoirse Heffernan was energetic, full of life & famous for her huge hugs. Saoirse proved that a hug and a little love can make every situation a little better! Every day was an adventure for Saoirse. #battenday2020 #BeeforBattens #Saoirse #childhood

Liam Heffernan was diagnosed with Batten Disease before his 2nd birthday. Liam was a courageous little fighter, with a deep love of dinosaurs. He could always be found carrying his toy Long Neck. In 2013 Liam became the first-ever child to travel on @BUMBLEance #BattensDisease
