We finished our learning project all about Antarctica last week with a very exciting experiment. We had lots of fantastic prediction, but nobody managed to guess the result. 🧪 🧊

After their initial walk around our school grounds, Key Stage 2 Eco Committee members were keen to pick the carrots, potatoes and tomatoes from the poly tunnel. Ardderchog! Eco-Schools Wales @ecoschoolfran

Pengam Year 2 members have been very helpful too.

After picking the vegetables from the school garden, Year 6 washed, peeled, rewashed and chopped the carrots and potatoes before boiling. They enjoyed delicious mashed potato, carrot soup and fresh bread. delicious 😋 @ecoschoolfran

We have been busy writing a diary entry for the “Jolly Postman”

Our last piece of writing on the “Jolly Christmas Postman”. Today using our Pie Corbett story map, we were able to write a recap of the story. Our favourite part was the gift from Little Red Riding Hood. 📮

Today we hosted a washday in dosbarth un. We have been busy using the green screen and tasting traditional Welsh food. The pupils awareness of Wales in past is continuing to grow and develop throughout our topic. Huge thank you to Winding House for the use of the equipment.
