Such a great conference at #BAPEN2023! Check out my poster 📑Patients requiring paracentesis had 18% weight loss and inadequate intake prior to seeing DT. After 3 months of input, caloric intake nearly tripled and weight stabilised!

It’s #nutritionandhydrationweek! Loved the enthusiasm from the doctors on RIE205 GI/Liver learning about supplement drinks. These are a useful treatment for malnutrition, which occurs in >50% of patients on a gastro ward. The verdict? Mostly better than expected! NHS Lothian Dietitians
