TRICKY TRANSPOSONS, those wily jumping pigment genes, a hallmark of broken-colored Zinnia violacea 'Peppermint Stick'. Variegation usually quite uniform, but flowerhead in pic 1 has decided to go half & half!πŸ˜ƒ A beloved heirloom my Grandmother grew, now reselected. Asteraceae
