Halloween pumpkins contribute to a shocking 18% rise in food waste during the two weeks following Halloween... that’s around 71 tonnes extra a week. It’s good that people are recycling, but it’s better for the environment and your pocket to reduce the waste and #EatYourPumpkin

Remember to bring a torch and bags if you’re walking your dog after dark! 🔦 While it’s harder to spot dog poo in low light, every bit left behind affects our environment 🌊 Thank you to the majority of dog owners who always clear up after their dogs 🐶

The answer is glittery wrapping paper! Only wrapping paper without foil or glitter can be recycled. Use the scrunch test to check: if the paper stays crumpled in a ball after you scrunch it, it's likely recyclable♻️

Answer: 227,000 miles A huge amount of wrapping paper is used in the UK each year! Try the scrunch test before recycling: 🎁Scrunch the paper into a ball, if it stays scrunched it's likely recyclable 🎁If it bounces back, it probably contains foil/plastic and can't be recycled
