🚨BREAKING🚨 The House just passed the #DCStatehood bill (#HR51), marking the first time since the creation of the District of Columbia 219 years ago that either chamber of Congress has passed a bill to grant statehood to D.C. residents and, with it, equal citizenship.

Whatever Trump’s intention, promoting a “white power” chant is not a diversion. It’s the President being openly, threateningly racist in the midst of a national reckoning. It’s morally repugnant, and the insinuation that it somehow helps him is contradicted by every single poll.

Watching Hamilton during this pandemic and thinking: It would be nice, it would be nice to have Washington (D.C.) on our side.
