I am so thankful for each person on our Scoggins MS science team!! During our collaborative time today we made Thankful Turkeys to share with each other what we are grateful for in each team member!

Our staff enjoyed a great day of choice learning today! Thank you to all of our amazing facilitators who made the time impactful for our classrooms. (More pics in comments!)

Few things have greater impact!

Today before our MAP test, we took a moment to write a note of encouragement to ourselves. After one class, one of my students made sure to tell me to leave her note folded on the table for the next person. When I opened it up and read it, it hugged my heart 💙💙

Never underestimate the power of a card sort! One of my go-to favorites for collaboration, inquiry, and making connections! Love the multitude of ways students can interact with the content with them!

Days like today are my favorite 😍 days where students get to show their understanding through exploring, collaborating, and creating!! Didn’t they do amazing?!! So proud of my Chapman’s Champs!!

The power of peer feedback!! 🎉 I love hearing students use their academic vocab as they collaborate, and explain concepts to each other. After, students were able to add to their One Pagers based on the specific feedback provided. Team work makes the dream work!

Overcoming challenges in 7th grade science! Collaboration, communication, and synthesizing their learning through an almost 40 card, card sort!! So proud of our students!:) 🎉🦅💙

Scoggins MS dissected frogs today and Lexie Chapman demonstrated some beautiful and effective process differentiation by pairing very complimentary groups! The teamwork and enthusiasm was energizing! We definitely have some future scientists and teachers soaring our halls!!

Had a blast at Price’s Grandparent’s Day! So grateful to get to celebrate this important part of our community and the strong connection they have in providing love and support for our students! ❤️
