Last week, Commissioner Garcia & Commissioner Briones formally requested a meeting to discuss transportation funding with Houston Mayor's Office, as #txlege members requested. We value our ongoing partnership with the City because the work is too important. So far, we’ve received no response.

What does that even mean, “most of the bill does not affect the City of Houston?” It sure impacts the residents of Precinct 2 who live in the City, who will lose millions of transportation infrastructure dollars to bail out the City’s budget mess.
