MMT:
We're just describing the current system!!

Me:
Okay cool so you guys don't want or prescribe anything then, right? Since you are just describing the current system?

MMT:

In the process of scheduling a discussion with the MicroStrategy folks about their Orange platform project. I plan to be as respectful, constructive, and technically persuasive as possible. Hope it leads to a positive outcome for the community 🤞

If you want a better, non-blockchain, virtually free version of DIDs, we built an open source method at Block called DID DHT: did-dht.com. It uses BitTorrent as the backing layer for resolving a DID (did:dht:3sf8gjf43...) to its associated keys and routing endpoints.

'DIDs are the tool of authoritarians!'

...is like saying, 'Clothes are the tool of authoritarians!'

DIDs are just interoperable standards-based signatures, created by users, that prove human association privately and pseudonymously. DIDs are for anyone. bitcoinmagazine.com/technical/dids…

Alright, let's dig in over a Space chat:

1. What are DIDs and why do we need them, regardless of how Orange approached it

2. Digging into Orange and answering questions about it

3. How we really build out a legit DWeb for truly decentralized apps

Identity is the next bubble

It will be nurtured by the same unholy alliance that brought you cefi/defi/nfts + participation of global governments

Will update as this progresses over the next few years

Let’s begin by bookmarking this tweet from the EU council

Hey plebs, I need your help with some advice.

Candour and humble-pie time.

After 2 years doing my best to counter bitcoin FUD pretty much full time I’ve run out of financial gas to keep doing this.

Wouldn’t be an issue except I have a family and I’m the sole income earner.…

Been asked a few times now about how I stay calm while fighting FUD.

Confession: I don’t always, but I’ve had some people smarter than me that shared a tip or to that I’ve benefitted from.

So thought I’d pass them on.

The time is long overdue for the Bank Secrecy Act to be overturned on Fourth Amendment grounds.

Below is a review from Cato on this, and how it has been justified and upheld on the past.

Seth For Privacy | #FreeSamourai This argument from DOJ is weird. You can definitely send cash in an envelope today. It’s called the post office. Or any other carrier services (FedEx, etc). I am not aware of these carriers being financial brokers or that they are responsible for what’s inside the packages.

If you teach that “weak makes right”, then the perceived stronger party – in this case, Israel – is wrong.

Morals should be taught in the absolute, meaning that it is possible for either the strong or weak to be morally good, depending on their actions.

US prosecutors say bitcoin is money.

It's Schrodinger's money. It's a 'speculative asset' when they want to describe it as not important, but then becomes 'money' for the purposes of laws regarding money transmission, and then back to 'speculative asset' again.
