P3b took part in a Scottish food taster session today. We have been learning about where our food comes from and today we put our senses to the test to see if we could identify what each item was. Everyone had great fun!
"X" marks the spot for P3a today! Ahead of our trip next week we have been looking at maps of our local community and identifying key places. Starting small in the school grounds then out beyond Haddington. Super work!
P6 were getting to grips with budgets this week! Our task was to manage our money over a month and make sure all our bills were paid on time! We were shocked how quickly our wages disappeared! 💸
P1A were thrilled to set their butterflies free today! 🦋 With just two caterpillars still in their chrysalises, we even got to witness one emerging right after the release!
We celebrated some fantastic achievements today in P3b...two of our pupils recently competed in a gymnastics competition and brought in their medals and certificates to show everyone. What fantastic news! and a lot of hard work. We were thrilled for them both!
Active Spelling in P3b - we always find new and exciting ways to work on our spelling words each week. Today we made paperchains, painted our words, used chalk pens and used fractions to break up our words into vowels and consonants.
P3b had an exciting challenge this afternoon linked to our farming topic. We had to work in teams to create our own farms using the success criteria provided. We all worked so well together and came up with some fantastic designs!
Another celebration of an achievement today in P3b! This time is was Zoe who brought in her medal from football and she told us she was so proud because it was her first ever medal! Well done Zoe ⭐️
P1a loved having a go at measuring length this week. We compared standard and non-standard units and learned how to measure accurately using a ruler. 📏
P1b have been measuring the height of each other using unit blocks this week. They also had fun measuring which car went further off a ramp. #Article29
We’ve been hunting for minibeasts in the playground… look what P1b found living on or in the ground! We designed our own symmetrical bugs when developing our construction skills and sorted minibeasts using a Venn diagram! #OutdoorLearning #Article29 #Article24
