I bought two books recently - Sunbathers by Lindz McLeod and Haunt Sweet Home by Sarah Pinsker - and I read them both. Neither languished on my bookcase for years. I bought AND read them. I feel like this is something to celebrate. Does anyone have a cookie?

Can we please give a boost to horror authors, particularly women, who started their horror writing career late in life? This is me. I had my debut horror novel at 38 and now, a year later, my new sun-vampire novella is doing great (with several more books on the way!)

It can be difficult to find the editors who truly appreciate all that you've put into your stories, but they are out there. Keep subbing, keep searching!

There are 220 pages left in the book I'm currently reading. Can I finish it tonight? I'm going to give it my best shot!

And I'm done! The beginning was a little slow for me, but once it picked up, I couldn't put this down.
