If you think Bitcoin's blockchain is for storing arbitrary data you are failing to understand it at an astonishingly basic level. 85,000 nodes storing gigabytes of crap that has nothing to do with Bitcoin with the various tools they'd use to defend themselves getting removed is

Don't look at hash, get hashing. In a universe like the one we inhabit where the BitAxe project exists, there no excuse for not deploying some honest CPU power.

Léo Every one of Floppy 💾 suggestions are marked "abusive" because he's pointing out how this proposed change makes it cheaper to attack the p2p network and Core are trying to push through *yet another* loosening of a spam filter before the Core 30 feature freeze.

The migration away from the now-malicious Bitcoin Core may prove to be an even bigger step in Bitcoin's history, but first we need to get there. In the meantime, happy UASF day! Don't forget even back then, Core was already beginning to be undermined & denied users this right.

I saw a lot of @UASF celebrating tweets yesterday! The entire motivation for the blocksize war was to not add more data to the chain than necessary at the expense of nodes. That has been forgotten as blocks are being filled with trash that has to be stored and processed

Who could have guessed? Right now, I can’t think of a single mempool feature that gloria added that isn’t just here to bring more spam or just add a huge technical debt. Bitcoin Core is a malware.

Hey every Core dev: The counter-measure to massive miners attacking small miners with slow-to-propagate blocks is to decentralize template construction so that massive "miners" like Foundry/Antpool etc get broken up into their constituent parts. When you have thousands of miners

Adam Back Asher Hopp Mechanic #FixTheFilters #300kb Divergent mempool policy is necessary reality in a decentralised network. The compact block interaction incentivises miners to make sane blocks. If the reverse were true, it would be better to do away with compact blocks entirely.
