Very happy to be part of this beautiful collaborative work 🙂 and proud of you Andrea Andrea Zanotti, well done!
Congratulations to Lemberg Lab and Marius Lemberg from Biochemistry Center Cologne on this great paper in Science!!
Big fun at the Biochemistry Center Cologne Christmas party 2022. Thanks to the Wagener group for organizing the traditional lab competition. What an honour for the Lemberg Lab to organize the 2023 Christmas games.
Real fun collaboration with Kvido Strisovsky lab IOCB Prague and The Langer Lab MPI for Biology of Ageing on how to inhibit the #rhomboid protease PARL that lead to interesting insights on the cell biology of #PINK1. Might be a promising new angle to boost #mitophagy in #Parkinson's disease.
Cool new publication by the Lemberg Lab Biochemistry Center Cologne Universität zu Köln with Kvido Strisovsky lab and The Langer Lab: Chemical Blockage of the Mitochondrial Rhomboid Protease PARL by Novel Ketoamide Inhibitors Reveals Its Role in PINK1/Parkin-Dependent Mitophagy pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

(1/2) Meet our Horizons speaker Dr. Marius Lemberg! Marius Lemberg Lemberg Lab Dr. Lemberg is a Professor for Biochemistry at the Biochemistry Center of the Medical Faculty of Cologne University, Cologne, Germany Universität zu Köln.
I am looking forward to join the 20th Horizons in Molecular Biology Symposium 2023 in Göttingen organised by the students of the IMPRS of Molecular Biology. Fantastic lineup of speakers, poster sessions and more.
Good start of the year: our paper by Dönem Avci, @RHeidasch, and Martina Costa Biochemistry Center Cologne Universität zu Köln and the Brügger lab Uni Heidelberg on the intramembrane protease SPP serving as a switch of the mevalonate pathway is finally out jbc.org/article/S0021-…
New paper from the lab: Regulation of #TLR4 #trafficking by the #ERAD intramembrane protease RHBDL4. A mechanism that prevents an excessive innate #immune response. Congratulations to Julia Knopf, Susanne Steigleder and all authors! nature.com/articles/s4146…
So happy to see our review online in Nature Cell Biology - “Lipid droplets and cellular lipid flux” - lead by super star grad student Alyssa Mathiowetz! Droplet biogenesis/ turnover, contacts and lipid transfer, roles in lipotoxicity / cell death, and more! 🎉 nature.com/articles/s4155…
🔬🧬 Cologne researchers Lemberg Lab Biochemistry Center Cologne CECAD Cologne have discovered a new regulatory mechanism that keeps the immune system in check! The intramembrane protease RHBDL4 prevents the immune system from overreacting. Read more 👇 uni.koeln/ZNHFQ
