Today we received our first mission letter from EL Education. They worked collaboratively to solve a puzzle to figure out what our first module would be! We are so excited to learn about tools and how they help us over the next few weeks! GreenES Leaders @lesliedanneen

Breaking out the manipulatives today as we begin our math unit on place value and building groups of 10 with tens frames! These 1st grade leaders are rocking math and classroom procedures! GreenES Leaders

Today in math students were given a word problem as well as different manipulatives we have been working with. Their tables used some productive struggle to find the solution without my help. Students then got to come teach the class how they solved it! It was so fun to see!

We had so much fun today with the fire department learning about how a fire truck works and the tools they use to put out a fire! Thank you so much to the Raleigh Station 9 fire department for spending time with our 1st graders!
