Golborne Sports FC was the venue for the Laithwaite Shield final as a fairly even 1st half ended with Leigh Foundry F.C. 2-1 ahead although Ormskirk FC had missed a penalty. The 2nd half was a different matter as Foundry added two more to eventually run out 4-1 victors #groundhopping
H/t 2-1 F/t Leigh Foundry F.C. 4 Ormskirk FC 1. Laithwaite Cup Final at Golborne Sports & Social Club. Ormskirk took an early lead after a penalty miss by Leigh!. Leigh Foundry though hit back with 2 goals before h/t!. 2nd half Leigh Foundry added two more to win the Laithwaite 🛡.
