Argentina 1-0 up on NZ at halftime in world cup hockey eliminator. Not much in it but a hint Argentina were starting to shade it in last few mins. NZ unlucky on penalty stroke. Keeper O'Hanlon lost glove which fell on the ball. Weird one.

Argentina still 1-0 at end of third quarter. They had the better of the third period too, NZ up against it. Need to be smarter keeping possession. Gifting ball away too often.

Uh oh. Argentina 2-0. Clever move from penalty corner and star attacker Delphina Merino scored from close range. Tough now for NZ.

No complaints from NZ after 2-0 loss to Argentina rubs them out of World Cup. Will rue loss to Japan in 2nd pool game. That cost them direct route to quarter-finals. Time for reflection. Likely to drop a spot on rankings too.

Olympic bronze medallist Nico Porteous has won world junior freeski halfpipe crown on home field at Cardrona. A 93.8 on 2nd run did the business for the 16-year-old. ''Really cool'' he said.

Carlos Garcia-Knight, remember him? Nice guy. Top qualifier going into Big Air Oly final this year, bummed out. Sitting 10th after 1st qualifying run at World Cup in Cardrona.

Garcia-Knight finished 16th overall in Big Air. No final for him. Ordinary day out at Cardrona. Next up Zoi Sad-Synnott and Christy Prior in the women's Big Air. This was ZSS's bronze medal-winning event at the Olys.

Zoi Sadowski-Synnott had a poor day at World Cup Big Air in Cardrona, runs of 29.8 and 16.6 won't get her in Saturday's final.

NZ Winter Olympian Finn Bilous has shot to the top of the World Cup Big Air freeski final at Cardrona with a superb 93.60 on 1st of his 3 runs. Fellow Kiwi Jackson Wells sits 7th after a 78.60.

NZ's Finn Bilous takes 3rd in the World Cup Big Air freeski final at Cardrona. total 180.20, beaten only by Swiss Andri Rugettli with a combined 182.0 and Canadian Evan McEachran, with 180.40.

NZ rowers chasing three medals, possibly golds too, to put some polish on a so-far disappointing world champs on solid note in Plovdiv tonight.

Three has become two chances for medals for NZ. Robbie Manson 5th in single sculls final, same placing as last year. Never in it. Had been fancied after winning the two world cup regattas. 6:46.110, well back on winner Kjetil Borch of Norway, 6:38.310.

A second medal for NZ, with Chris Harris and John Storey taking bronze in the double scull, behind France and Switzerland. Thrilling late charge to get third in last 250m.

And a third medal to wrap it up for NZ. Olivia Loe and Brooke Donoghue take silver in the double scull, behind Lithuania. Strong display through 2nd 1000. That gives NZ a total of 3 medals at worlds, their poorest return since 2003. Tough thinking ahead.
