difference in trail leg location of inside leg plant vs outside leg plant. On curved running the ground comes up sooner on inside leg while it’s later in the gait for outside leg. Curved sprinting- need to understand when evaluating gait and stresses to body!

7th grade athlete today w/7 out of 10 pain In knees. First 50-min. we used tools to redirect her attention while we gradually lowered her pain to what she called a 2 out of 10. We did hinge squatting w/bw and worked up to 15lbs and remained at 1-2out of 10. All smiles at end.

In base stealing, you can break the rules if you know the rules. Even though this steal was successful the setup, loading, arm action, energy transfer was not efficient. Sometimes great athletes can overcome inefficiencies. Imagine if the little things were done right!

3-important things: 1. Full foot contact w/dorsiflexion 2. Great use of quads to be quick. 3. Front knee completely cleared space for back knee to travel through.

Concept of Repositioning is often considered a Narrow to Wide Stance to create stiffness at an appropriate angle of push off. Concept of a Lateral Run is to clear space, by the front leg, so the back leg can utilize an acceleration gait pattern.
