Kudos to Murray Mandryk for flagging this. Contracting out 10 jobs here and the attrition of 25 jobs there is not the most exciting story, but it points to something very very fishy at the top of the SaskTel/Sask Party decision-making bodies. #skpoli leaderpost.com/opinion/column…

Scott Moe needs to answer to SaskTel customers and the people of Saskatchewan: why the rush to replace good jobs with low-bid contractors and out-of-province firms? #skpoli #canlab

On strike for barely a day and the calls from industry groups for govt to strip our members of their right to strike had already started. No surprise. We will defend our fundamental right to strike with everything we have. Solidarity St. Lawrence Seaway members. #canlab

Throughout the pandemic, telecommunications workers were on the frontlines keeping our communities connected. Despite this, Bell Canada has downsized its workforce and outsourced more and more work. It's wrong – and it’s time for Bell to negotiate a fair deal for these workers.

Privatization is a clear betrayal of Crown corporation principles of local ownership for local jobs and local benefit. We will raise this in bargaining and make sure every voter knows the Sask Party is betraying SaskTel and other cherished, home-grown Crown corporations. #skpoli

“Bell has chosen to put profits over people in the middle of an affordability crisis. Bell, you have now put Unifor squarely on your path. You need to know our members recognize a fight when they see one. And so do I,” @lanampayne warns Bell after termination of 4,800 workers.

Bell math: fire 6,100 workers and think you can improve telco and media services. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ #canlab #shameonbell

I want to be very clear. Facts do matter. It is blatantly false that Unifor was in any way, shape or form in favour or agreement with Bell’s deplorable decision to fire 1000s of workers. For Bell’s CEO to say such is outrageous, deceptive and delusional. Like come on!
