London is famous for its garden squares, laid out by private developers in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Why did they do this? A short thread.

Shout out to East Midlands Railway (EMR) team who manage Kettering train station. It’s always clean, welcoming, loos work, planter boxes etc. Corporate civic pride really impacts our quality of life. Love it when people show care. Dave Hill Alexander Jan Patricia Brown

.Dave Hill speaks for so many of us. How do we tackle the scourge of noise pollution on public transport? I am so proud that London is a place where so many rub along but this trend really undermines that unspoken and effective contract. substack.com/@leannetritton…

Sadiq Khan to 'actively explore' release of parts of London Green Belt for homebuilding: onlondon.co.uk/sadiq-khan-to-…. #london #housing #sadiqkhan

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan (@mayoroflondon) 's Twitter Profile Photo

City Hall’s new position will be to actively explore the release of parts of London’s green belt for development. We'll be working with councils and others to secure as many new homes as we can on brownfield sites, but this alone will not be enough to meet our needs.

Leanne Tritton (@leannetritton) 's Twitter Profile Photo

These objections underline the challenge of getting anything through planning and built. Brownfield site, quality design and sensitive densification. I hope that Camden Council do the right thing.
