When you have a tracheotomy you don't actually die from ALS. One of the most common causes is pneumonia.
I'm kind of happy that ALS won't defeat me ;)

Anyone using grid pad - smart box for eye gaze can I pick your brains. I am able to make new posts but can't seem to reply. I click the reply button but when I have typed it nothing shows on screen. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks x

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions... I have a trach with a cuff. It keeps leaking and it bubbles up my nose and throat. The cuff won't stay inflated for more than ten minutes. This is the fourth one I've tried. Making me miserable. My rt has no idea.

I don't think I will ever get used to 24 hour care. I love people but I am definitely more of an introvert. I just want some alone time.

I have no intention or desire to go to Wreck Beach but for the callers to say 'too bad so sad' about people with disabilities having access is down right mean.
I hope that they never have to be in a wheelchair.
