Fun fact about this spacewalk, Mattingly had lost his wedding ring at some point during the mission inside the Command Module (likely when going to the bathroom), when he went on the spacewalk, they had to depressurize the command module, the wedding ring wound up slowly floating

We welcomed our perfect, precious Luca a week ago today 🩵 We never imagined we could love someone the way we love him. He is the best gift we’ve ever received!

Everyone watches launch. Launch is great. Fiery, loud, fast. But it’s docking and hatch opening that really give you the best view of the humans behind the mission.

We are saddened by the passing of Jim Lovell, commander of Apollo 13 and a four-time spaceflight veteran. Lovell's life and work inspired millions. His courage under pressure helped forge our path to the Moon and beyond—a journey that continues today. go.nasa.gov/41tbrpq
