More reasons why everyone should read QUARTET by Dr Leah Broad Women musicians, composers, conductors etc… should not be unicorns 🦄 We need to uncover/ discover both the current/ new upcoming women in the music world & those who were “lost” in history simply due to their gender
neurodivergent joke升妹unicorn🦄 Dr Leah Broad The fact that there's so much to love about Dr Leah Broad's book is the best reason to read it. Hugely enjoyed it and often went and listened to a piece of music mentioned in it.
neurodivergent joke升妹unicorn🦄 Dr Leah Broad Quartet is my fave book about female composers. Leah Broad's magic is that she writes about these women in such a way that you feel SO moved & compelled to listen to their music. Dorothy Howell, clutching the score to her piano concerto as an old woman -so heart wrenching 😥.
Dr Leah Broad Here’s something to cheer you up. At our concert in the Red Violin Festival 18.10, UoL Concert Series free/pay as you feel & livestream, we feature very fine music by Judith Weir and Rebecca Clarke concerts.leeds.ac.uk/events/madelei…
