After 5 hours on skates today, shoes feel wrong.

I moved from a 100% teaching contract to a "traditional" research and teaching contract. It's been strange to get used to (in a good way). The good parts are having time to be think and to be intentional. The bad is that I have to be a lot more disciplined in prioritising my work

One of the things my close friends would always laugh about was when I'd say something that they didn't quite get what I was on about - they'd repeat it with an Irish accent and then apparently I made sense? 😅. Apparently using Irish-English with an English accent is confusing

Today I had a good hair day. (I still don't know if I should be embarrassed or proud that multiple students have told me they like my haircut 🤣)

It's been a whole year since my last chemo session. The stubbornness skills to keep going with something that's so hard that I learnt during my PhD are remarkably transferable to cancer treatment!
