This is just about the first thing I’ve bought for myself in a year that didn’t come from Sainsbury’s or B&Q and their ilk.

Our next LGBTQIA+ book group will be held on Weds May 26th in Subplot 57 ‘s lovely gin garden! We’re reading DRYLAND by the amazing Sara Jaffe Cipher Press - groups of up to 30 allowed to meet outside from May 17th so RSVP by DMing us here 💙

Heads up folks. We won’t be open this Thursday (July 15th) as my kids school has had to close. This ain’t over, mask up, keep your distance and stay safe.

Sadly, my sons isolation has been extended so the shop won’t be open this Thursday (22nd) either and then we’re straight into the summer holidays so no more Thursday’s till September now. We’ll be open as usual on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

My Sunday recommendation in SE23: Leaf & Groove books in Forest Hill. They take old books, recycle what isn’t used, and sales go to support libraries. Big thumbs up.

A most gratifying couple of purchases at the wonderful Leaf & Groove today. Worth it for the LA Coliseum photo alone but Fats on vinyl you know?

Some sad new from us at Leaf & Groove today. We are closing down, rising rent and energy costs combined with the pandemic have meant that our purpose to provide a sustainable income for V22 Libraries is no longer viable. Our last day of trading will be April 2nd.
