36 hours into the #FoS100 marshals' walk, we now have 17 finishers, with two more getting close. The main pack of remaining entrants are spread between 85-95 miles, everyone still keeping up with the cut-off times.

Chris Blackwell has become a regular entrant on marshals' walks since taking charge of the breakfast bags on the main event for the last few years. He's now finished in just over 37 hours. #FoS100

Sian Thompson is our latest (21st) finisher. 6 have retired, while 24 continue into the second night. Most will hope to finish during the night, but the hardy few will still be going when the third morning of the event dawns. #FoS100

Welcome to Bank Holiday Monday morning, and with it the closing hours of the Flower of Suffolk 100 marshals' walk. The Heart of England contingent of Sharon Wakeman, Jane Bates, Yvonne Court and David Hood have finished just inside 46 hours - congratulations to all. #FoS100

With just under two hours remaining of the event, there's only one entrant still out on the route - and it's our new NEC Chair, Madeleine Watson. She's going to get full value from her 48 hours, but has been pacing herself well and should finish in time. Come on Madeleine!

Other news from the second night: Malcolm Walmsley, a 100 regular, put the disappointment of the last two years behind him. On the EBB100 in 2023, he was unlucky that a navigational error in the closing stages ruined his chances; then he retired on Speyside, but he's finished now

Madeleine finishes with just over half an hour to spare. A perfect example of how to pace yourself on a 100 - make full use of the time, without getting so close to the limit that you have to push yourself to a faster pace than you're comfortable with to avoid being timed out.

That's a wrap from us for the Flower of Suffolk 100 marshals' walk. Congratulations to all the finishers, commiserations to those who didn't make it, and huge thanks to the organisers and marshals who make it all possible. We'll see you in three weeks' time for the main event!

Look at this beautiful Trail! This is the #SlowWays #NationalParksTrail - connecting all of Britain’s National Parks and our National Park City. Who's up for helping to collectively walk and check all 3,000km during the month of June? Can you help us? buildstories.slowways.org/join-the-natio…

Enjoyed the The Long Distance Walkers Association Highland Coast to Coast event yesterday, 36 miles across Scotland from Ullapool to Ardgay. Fabulous weather, no midges, nice people, lovely event 😍 Don't have to be back in work til Thursday so now to decide how to fill the next few days 🤔

"Effects of ultra-endurance exercise on posture" - or, as it's more commonly known within the LDWA, "the lean". Several cases noted on this year's Flower of Suffolk 100.

The Birmingham Canal Canter is known for its cake competition. As usual, this year's event has attracted a strong field, but the chocolate and hazelnut layer cake is going to be very difficult to beat.
