Last week our team went down to Essex to conduct seagrass restoration. 115 transplants and 15 boxes from our nursery transplanted at St Lawrence and 64 transplants collected from Southend on Sea to be transported to our Nursery in South Wales. #SeagrassRestoration #Environmental

Our #Solent and #IsleOfWight team had a busy week of monitoring as part of our May #solentseascapeproject #fieldwork. Monitoring at our restoration plots at Priory Bay showed that all transplants remained in place & all plots with seeds had fully germinated to become seedlings!

2 years ago today we planted the first Zostera marina seeds at our #seagrassnursery. This was the start of a journey to investigate the conditions needed to propagate seeds within a nursery environment. 2 years later we have seedlings from those plants growing on site! 🌱

Delighted to have our ambitious nursery project featured in the Guardian this week. Huge credit to our fantastic team who enable this work and thanks to our nursery partner SalixRW Together we're creating a centre for restoration from catchment to coast #GenerationRestoration
