Larval rearing water shapes mosquito development & vector competence for #Zika virus by a lot! Compared to tap, water from outdoors makes #Aedes aegypti slower to develop & less capable of spreading Zika. @alternatewill Lark Coffey journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/mS… ASM #mSphere

During my grad school interview @UTMB, I told the program director, ‘Genomics is going to adversely impact biomedicine.’ He said ‘What!? Explain!’ And that’s how I learned the correct definition of ‘adversely’. 😬 Still got in. Don’t berate yourself if you mess up interviews.
