Today I was working from the office for the first time. It was a much-needed change in scenery and I am looking forward to the return of a normal work culture in the office.

New to the field, I still discover older but interesting papers, like this very good read about threshold and timing analysis of genetic circuits: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Very excited to spend orientation week with the new incoming cohort of the IQ Biology program at CU Boulder 🦬. Can't wait to see all the exciting projects that will happen throughout the next year!!! #IQBio #BioFrontiers

Earlier this week I got the opportunity to listen to Professor Roy Parker as part of the orientation for the incoming IQ Bio cohort CU Boulder 🦬. I think his talk was very valuable to #grad #students so I wanted to share an earlier recorded version! youtube.com/watch?v=V66qF4…

I’m excited to share my first publication "Stochastic Hazard Analysis of Genetic Circuits in iBioSim and STAMINA" The paper evaluates probabilities of different implementations of a genetic circuit using stochastic simulation and model-checking A sincere thank to my co-authors!

Recently my PI gave me some advice: After grad school, if asked about your GPA in a job interview reconsider taking the job. Usually, that means that the hiring person can not relate to your skill set and expertise and can not evaluate if you are a good fit. #ECR #GradSchool #PhD

Excited to present tools for the Design-Model-Build-Test-Learn circle with my colleagues here at #SEES2022! It is my first in-person conference and a great experience so far

Is it just me or is there still a little of a disconnect between computational and lab-based #syntheticbiology ? More collaboration could lead to such interesting results! #seed2022

Lukas Buecherl (@lbuecherl) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Not sure if it is because this is my first in-person conference but it still sometimes feels a little off to approach professors in the hallway even though that’s what conferences are for! #seed2022

LOICA is not just a great tool to aid the DBTL cycle but also a package for #Python which makes it even cooler! Great work by my friends Gonzalo Vidal and Carolus Vitalis. You can check out their work at the poster session at #seed2022 today

A professor of a first-semester class in grad school just recognized me at a conference. Yet, I don't think my bachelor thesis advisor remembers me at all. The relations between professors and students in the US are very different and it seems like Germany still has to learn.

What do you do if your "modern" science communication approaches are criticized? Besides nice/helpful feedback a lot non-content-related feedback discouraged modern presentations. Apperantly, if the presentation isn't presented in the old-white-male style it isn't scientific #ECR

🚨New preprint alert! Pierre-Aurelien shows that transfer learning works great for deep learning models of gene expression, allowing us to easily adapt trained models across contexts. Don't bin your models after use, recycle and refine!🤖+🦠 #ML #synbio doi.org/10.1101/2023.0…
