I don't think they have any values. It started out as a support group for women with CC but now it's just a business that spends more money on P.R. than support services. They don't give a damn about informed choice.

GP jumps on the 'screening saves lives' bandwagon. I point out that screening can also cause harm, and that patients deserve balanced information, not spin. And this is a response from one of his fans. 🤦‍♂️

Please read and *Retweet* to raise awareness if you support a woman’s right to informed choice and to not be infantilized, manipulated and bribed. #leepharm #gynecologyharm

'They are not brushed off'. So all those women who've claimed they were brushed off with 'it's all in your head/it's your hormones/probably due to your contraception' and so on are all liars?

Fuming right now over a 'letter' in the health pages of today's Daily Mirror. Quite obvious the good Dr. doesn't believe in informed dissent where screening is concerned and thinks coercion/bullying is acceptable.

Curious... a certain pink charity was begging its supporters for more cash earlier this year, and now it seems the Director is jumping ship to yet another healthcare charity... what happened, was he denied a pay rise? 🤔

I dunno about you, but when a medic brags they're 'exceptionally talented' I think perhaps they're the ones we need to avoid.

Every medical procedure - including screening tests - has risks and benefits. Thus, a patient needs balanced information in order to weigh up the pros and cons and decide whether to proceed or decline. Telling them about the potential benefits and not the risks is unacceptable.

@myGPapp This is NOT TRUE. You commissioned the survey, the least you can do is not misrepresent the results. 57% of regular professional waxing service users ≠ 57% of those invited to cervical screening.

Hm. A certain PHE blog discussing NHS screening once had numerous scathing comments from unhappy patients. I've noticed now that all but one of those comments have been removed. Typical.

Looks like the vagina police are going to be running yet another 'awareness' campaign, starting on Feb. 14th. That's right, Valentine's Day. Because there's nothing more romantic than a pelvic exam, right?

Hmm. A certain organisation is obsessed with getting patients to undergo a medical procedure involving an instrument which some patients find torturous... turns out this organisation receives donations from the manufacturer of said instrument. Why am I not surprised?

Well well, I've just watched an 'educational' video on YT hosted by a (self-proclaimed) screening expert. I'm not sure I'd be amused by having my most intimate area being compared to a toilet roll tube if I were fearful of such a procedure, especially if due to trauma.
