🌎| World of Work Event Last week week, Y9 experienced a 'World of Work' event. 15 different local employers came in to talk to the students to give them an insight into the skills, qualities and habits they will need in future for any employment they may wish to venture into.

💻| Computer Science Year 10's computer scientist from LCH had the chance last week to visit Barclays campus in Knutsford. They participated in a robotics activity, ATM lab and the control centre to see how they cope with cyber acts. Many thanks Barclays for the opportunity!

🪖| Army session Year 9 took park in a team building and skills developing session delivered by the Army. The students learnt about all the different jobs within the Army and how to work together to overcome problems. A great experience for the students.

📚| World Book Day Last week, staff dressed up with the theme 'from Book to Film' for this year's World Book Day! Students voted for the best dressed department and took part in a 'from Book to Film' quiz at break and lunch.

🗣| Youth Speaks Competition Six of our students excelled in the National Youth Speaks Competition. Senior team Carmen, Scarlet, and Molly discussed misogyny's impact, while Year 7's Camille, Ibraheem, and Hannah argued for shorter school days. They made it to the second round!

Our Y11 football team made history. First Laurus Cheadle Hulme team to make a football cup final. Unlucky loss to Marple Hall School but history makers in their last game nonetheless. Well done to all LCH P.E Dept staff over the last five years.

💂 | London Trip Last week, we took 20 students to the Houses of Parliament for a tour and a workshop. Students met our local MP Tom Morrison and sat in a debate in the House of Commons. We also got to soak up the sun and see the sights - everyone had a brilliant time!
