I don't know anything about Star Wars but my students talk about it every day so it was only fitting to design our reading, writing, and math lessons around Star Wars today..May the 4th be with them!

Last week we started reading The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. We talked about what it means to be an outsider and who decides who's excluded and who's included. Today some of the kids drew these awesome representations of the 'outsider' Roz and her son Brightbill. #weloveRoz

Wrapped up our week learning about recycling, renewable and nonrenewable resources with a guest from the Solid Waste Authority! One of the silver linings this school year is getting to virtually visit places we might otherwise not be able to visit to add to our learnings!
