Dr. Foster’s book “The Turnaway Study: Ten Years, a Thousand Women, and the Consequences of Having—or Being Denied—an Abortion” describing the wholistic, apolitical, extensive findings of this landmark study is one of my most recent favorite reads. Highly highly highly recommend.

As stressful as applying to fellowship/residency/med school can be, I have to say it’s nice to be forced to spend time appreciating your accomplishments over the past few years and reflecting on what your goals really are.

Loved having the opportunity to share my thoughts on “Resilience” today with the Kern National Network. Always grateful for the opportunity they create to take a step back and reflect on the journey to “Becoming” a physician.

Abortion should be up to the patient, having to get a doctor to justify it, sanction it, "allow it" is demeaning and only adds stigma. Patients are the experts in their own life story let's trust the patient to know what is best for their lives.

My thoughts on the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Petrified. Sad. Infuriated. Scared. Enraged. Horrified.

Every abortion is a life-saving abortion.

Abortion is not just health care, it is a human right. Beyond infringing on bodily autonomy, there are conditions in pregnancy that result in death without safe abortion care. This is a calling for all in medicine to stand on the side of justice nejm.org/doi/full/10.10…

I’m seeing a lot of posts saying people will die because Roe has been overturned. That is definitely true. But perhaps not for the reasons you think.
