We just published #nowcasts of global extreme #poverty to 2023. Globally, we are back to pre-pandemic rates. This means we have lost 3 years in the fight against poverty. Also, poverty in the poorest countries still exceeds pre-pandemic levels.

This is an important test for the foreign aid community. Lead poisoning is more prevalent, and its effects more damaging and wide-ranging, than was understood only a few years ago. Current aid spending on it is ~$0. That ought to change immediately.
