1/ Today in Science, we train a neural net from scratch through the eyes and ears of one child. The model learns to map words to visual referents, showing how grounded language learning from just one child's perspective is possible with today's AI tools. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Thanks for everyone who came to my poster and gave thoughts or just said hi! It turns out that poster is so far my fav part of CDS and I felt so charged and excited about my work and where it’d go.

What a surreal experience attending the modeling care workshop at Stanford CASBS over this past two days..people who have influenced my thinking, Stephen, Claude, and many authors with whom their books or papers I’ve read or is currently reading come together and talk about care.

CogSci 2024 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands 🥰 The scale of attendees and the diversity of work this year really speak to the intellectual vibrancy of this lovely community. I’m excited to be in the field! (Me mimicking the weirdly shaped architecture in Rotterdam)
