Great first day at INQUARoma2023. Our DECADAL team have shared some of our work! Our PDRA Paul Lincoln showed the differences in age modelling techniques, and @CMartinPuertas has been showcasing her new illustrated children’s book, and introduced our policy co-production approach
The next set of talks at INQUARoma2023 from our DECADAL team were from PhD student Laura Boyall talking about Bayesian decadal climate reconstructions, and PDRA Ashley Abrook presenting preliminary chiro and biomarker data from two varved lake sites. Well done! #INQUARoma2023
A great few days at Durham University where myself Holly Jenkins and Sinead Birks organised the annual QRA postgrad conference. Amazing meeting so many new people, hearing their research, and sharing mine
Back to Diss Mere with Laura Boyall The record shows an increase in anthropogenic activity through time in this record. Iron age land use change (deforestation) and then a further intensification during building of the market town #QRA24
📢JUST RELEASED! It's Christmas + Birthday all at the same time. Look at this gift from Copernicus ECMWF #ClimateChange Service. The data available for us, the less code-literate storytellers. Take the time to explore it. Amazing tool 🥳👏🙌😍 atlas.climate.copernicus.eu/atlas
Earlier this year I was asked to be involved in an interview about my research, lakes sediments, and climate change. A little different to my every day work but it was definitely fun doing this... you can watch the video here: youtube.com/watch?v=39i-iO… 📹[email protected]
Pleased to say the second paper of my PhD has been published today! We explore the lake history of Diss Mere and the interactions between climate variability, anthropogenic activity and environmental responses. Available open access here: doi.org/10.1002/jqs.36… RHULGeography
Our colleagues The Conversation ES have translated our work to publish it in The Conversation Europe. Now available for readers in English! We hope you enjoy and share it! #paleoclimatology
