I’m an FY2 doctor who does not have a job from August. It’s May & there are very few clinical fellow jobs advertised. Locums are drying up. I applied to med school as a working class student & was the first in my family to go to university. Doctors no longer have job security.

I’ve been somewhat triggered by someone posting a clearly non-infected insect bite saying he’d been given antibiotics under the Pharmacy First scheme.

Insect bites like, hardly ever get infected. Handing antibiotics out like sweeties is utterly crap medicine.

They are about to go on strike for 9 weeks.

This is disastrous, hideous news. NHS England are hacking back the mental health support for hospital staff. One doctor takes their life every three weeks. One nurse takes their life every single week. These numbers will now INCREASE. Victoria Atkins - please do the right thing.

I cannot believe NHS England are withdrawing funding for this vital service that’s been a lifeline for countless number of doctors

Doctors have the highest suicide rates of all professions & currently morale is at an all time low.

How much more can the profession take?! 😞

NHS England is rolling back its mental health support for NHS hospital staff. No new patients will be accepted....given the parlous state of services and how some staff can be broken by their work this seems a backwards step.
