.Chief Jim McDonnell McDonnell provides an update on an Officer-Involved Shooting that occurred earlier today in Southwest Division. An LAPD officer was struck by the suspect’s gunfire, but fortunately his injury is not considered to be life-threatening.

⚠️Traffic Advisory⚠️ Alameda between Temple and Aliso St, demonstrators are on both sides of the street with some in the street. Multiple cars parked in a “NO STOPPING ANYTIME” zone on Alameda. Use caution in the area due to parked vehicles and pedestrians in the roadway.

Around 2:00 a.m. this morning, Rampart Patrol officers responded to a radio call of an assault with a deadly weapon in the area of Vermont Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard. Preliminary information indicates a vehicle drove into a crowd for reasons still under investigation.

A Tsunami Advisory has been issued, replacing the Tsunami Watch. The tsunami should arrive near 1AM tonight. If you are located in the coastal area, move off the beach & out of harbors & marinas. Do not go to the coast to watch. Be alert to instructions from local EM officials.
