Thankful to my colleague Lord Peter Hendy, Minister for Rail, for confirming that despite the £22bn black hole we have inherited from the last Government, the Portishead and Pill railway re-opening is not now listed as one of the cancelled projects.

Hi Bristol Waste. Bristol City Council site isn’t letting me report that all local cardboard has been uncollected for over a week. As of 1pm today, none of the other bins have been emptied. There is expanding wet cardboard everywhere. Will we have a collection today? Guy Poultney
Our road’s recycling was not picked up last week (Lansdown Rd BS6). We’re having to put this week’s in bags next to our boxes. Please ask your crews to empty the extra bags as well @bristolwaste Bristol City Council Guy Poultney Mohamed Makawi
Pretty please to Bristol Waste and Bristol City Council - any chance of collecting our road’s cardboard tomorrow as scheduled? We’ve been missed so often lately (including on 20th) and there is so much to be picked up. Thanks 🤞
Thank you Bristol City Council and Bristol Waste for collecting the cardboard today. Is there any chance you could come back to collect the recycling in the black, green and brown boxes? Asking on behalf of the whole road. Here’s wishing you more manpower in 2025
Sorry to be a bother Bristol City Council and Bristol Waste but our whole road’s recycling was missed on Monday 6. It was relisted for collection today but sadly no-one came. And yet now we can’t list it as missed on the website because we didn’t do it before 5 pm today. Help? 🙏
Bored of uncollected cardboard? we are…. another week, another missed collection. We have given up reporting: you don’t come Bristol City Council Bristol Waste
Thanks to the hard-working team on the Bristol Waste team who caught up with our cardboard collection yesterday. Our road was closed part way down for the day and you collected it all anyway by walking the green bins up and down. 🙏⭐️Bristol City Council
