It was a pleasure to welcome the Hon. Meredith Berger, Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Navy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (EI&E) for a tour of our @darpa Reefense X-REEFS project, a multi-agency effort to design hybrid biological and engineered reef structures to mitigate wave and storm damage.
Two engineering professors were named "Rising Stars" by ASEM Florida. Agarwal was awarded for his work in translating novel organ-on-chip platforms & Rhode-Barbarigos was honored for his research on the mechanisms of tensegrity structures. Read more: news.miami.edu/coe/stories/20…
