Waking up on the Space Station on Christmas morning??!! Who could ask for more?! This was about a week after our #ISS_26_27 arrival at the International Space Station -- so it still felt like a dream that a real person could find themselves on #ISS. I never stopped feeling that way! #Xmas

No need to panic, but the red supergiant star Betelgeuse (yes there is a star with that name), one of the brightest in the nighttime sky, marking the left armpit of the constellation Orion, is mysteriously dimming, having lost 60% of its brightness across the past six months.

For 300 days I’ve been fortunate to be a part of something that strives to represent and benefit all humanity. As I look out and reflect on our shared world, that has been the greatest honor.

Something else remarkable to watch tonight: It's possible that our temperature at midnight will tie or break the record for January 12th. Wouldn't that be something...to break a day's record high at midnight? It's happened before, but of course extremely rare.
