Northgate Update: I had a chance to visit the site. They have removed everything inside. I saw where some of the areas are going to be placed, such as the bakery, carnitas, aguas, guisados, ceviche, tortilleria, meat, seafood, cheese. ETA Nov., 2025 #StayTuned

La Mirada History: La Mirada’s first Fire Engine #49 was called the “Galloping Ghost” - a 1939 V-12 Seagrave Fire Truck - named because when it turned corners and changed gears, all 2500 gallons of water would slosh around making it appear it was galloping! @ Station 49 in LM

Blue Hills La Mirada (the area of what is now regional park) (1939) An old photograph of an orange field in Blue Hills, La Mirada. The handwritten note on the back side on one reads: A part of the extensive orange field in Blue Hill. Feb. 26, 1939. it would look better in color!
