Compare this to the Indigenous idea that a thing is dangerous or worse disgusting. Danger is to be avoided, if a dangerous thing threatens you, you deal with it, but just because a thing is dangerous doesn't make it inherently bad or wrong, or even malicious.

Sunflowers can pull toxins and heavy metals out of the soil, remediating land that has been decimated by industry and capital. Soil remediation isn't hard or necessarily expensive, but capitalism won't do it because there isn't much profit in in.

People with disabilities should have the right to marry without losing their income, benefits, or health insurance. No one should be forced to choose between the benefits they need to survive and their partner. ❣️

Albuquerque is now the biggest city in the country to make public transit free, permanently. Turns out it doesn’t just save people money, it saves the city money. We talked to residents, and they love it. Some save on gas, some don’t have to walk to work, and everybody wins.

Every “WIC approved” baby food brand is listed on the 2021 Toxic Baby Food Congressional Report. These brands contain high levels of arsenic, lead, cadmium and mercury. So yeah, save WIC but also REFORM WIC. Relying on government assistance shouldn’t mean consuming unsafe foods.
