The Goshen boys raced their hearts out today at the NYSPHSAA Championship meet held at Vernon Verona High School! Despite being down one of our top runners (Kiran Foster), the Gladiators still managed to finish in 8th place as a team! Goshen Schools Goshen Athletics #GoshenPride

Senior Caleb Ayau led the way for the Goshen squad, finishing in 32nd place (17:48) on the rain-drenched, muddy course. Sophomore Noah Klugman surged to 37th place (17:59), followed by Ryan Schramm (18:47), Joseph Carmona (19:51), & Kia Ghezel-Ayagh (20:38).

Rounding out the top 7 were Patrick Cahill and Oscar Hackman! We couldn’t be prouder of these boys for all they’ve accomplished despite a great deal of adversity experienced throughout this season! #GoshenPride #OneTeam

Freshman Isabel Barnhorst ran a new PR in the 1500m, finishing in 5:01.67 for 3rd place, also earning a spot in the intersectional relay at States! #GoshenPride

Gianna Catalano also PR’d in the 1500m and Charissa Logan ran a personal best in the 55m hurdles! Many of our relays, including both the boys’ and girls’ 4x8 teams & the girls’ 4x4 also ran season bests with PR splits from several athletes! #GoshenPride

Juniors Reilly St. Lawrence and Lily Notebook place second overall and earn themselves a silver medal in the pole vault team relay at the Dragon Relays! Well done Gladiators! Goshen Athletics

3 Gladiators qualify for the State meet after competing at the State Qualifier meet! Congrats to Charissa Logan, Jaden Bisono, and Dametrious “Lalo” Esannason who will be competing next weekend at the NYSPHSAA Championship meet being held at Middletown HS! Goshen Athletics

Logan outscored the field in the pentathlon in a close competition involving 5 events over 2 days! She clinched her ticket to States competing in her final event of the day by finishing 1st in the 800m with an impressive time of 2:25.15! #GoshenPride

Bisono also competed in the pentathlon, finishing 1st in 3 of his 5 events, setting new PR’s in the 1500m (4:42.32), long jump (19-3.5), and shot put (36-2.75)! He also ran 15.27 in the 110mH and cleared 5-11.25 in HJ! #GoshenPride

Esannason finished 4th in the preliminary round of the 100m dash on Friday with a time of 11.21 for a new PR! Having met the state standard, he came back on Saturday finishing in 2nd place, punching his ticket to the State meet! #GoshenPride

Jaden Bisono is your Div. 1 NYS CHAMPION in the pentathlon with a score of 3408 points after competing in 5 events over the past 2 days!!! Bisono PR’d in 3 of 5 events. LJ: 20ft, 2in; SP: 38ft, 3in; 1500m: 4:32.54. Currently ranked US#2! Goshen Athletics Goshen Schools #GoshenPride
