Maddi Baker of Mercer County won the freshman girls discus throw Friday at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor meet in Philadelphia. Baker, who also won the Class 2A state championship earlier this year, won with a meet record throw of 144 feet, 2 inches on her final attempt.
