I am watching a toddler die on a table in a field hospital in Rafah with half her face blown apart while listening to college students fight tears reporting on a police assault on their campus for protesting that, and I feel like I am losing my fucking mind.

An army. Literally an army. For a group of kids who have made no threats, are doing nothing violent, and who everyone agrees are unarmed.

Democratic governor. Democratic mayor. Democratic super majorities in the state senate, state house, and city council.

America is actually a deeply totalitarian country, it’s just entirely invisible as long as you stay inside the free speech zones. The students have exited the free speech zone and now all pretense of this being a democracy is dropped. We are only free to eat burger and go to work
