Happy bday to Chris Doohan. Not only does he carry on his dad’s legacy — appearing in Star Trek (2009) and earning a speaking role in Into Darkness thanks to fan support — but he also reprised Scotty in the fan series Star Trek Continues, stepping fully into his father’s boots.

Happy bday to Dominic Keating! DYK? He originally auditioned for Lt. Malcolm Reed w/ a very clipped BBC-style British accent. It was so posh it had producers asking if he could “go more blue‑collar.” They eventually asked him to drop it and use his natural speaking voice instead!

Tim Russ had one line in Spaceballs, and it was so iconic, people still talk about it decades later. That’s not a footnote. That’s legacy. 🔥🛸 facebook.com/share/r/1CHiie…

Happy birthday to fellow Canadian 🇨🇦 Emily Coutts, who played Helsman Keyla Detmer in Discovery. DYK she wasn’t a Trekkie before landing the role? She dove into Star Trek from scratch, starting with TOS and TNG after booking the part!

🖖 Happy birthday to Vaughn Armstrong, the only actor to play 12 different characters across four Star Trek series! From Klingons to admirals, he’s a true Trek legend.

Happy Birthday to Shazad Latif, the man who brought depth, mystery, and duality to Star Trek: Discovery as both Ash Tyler and Voq! Fun fact: He originally auditioned for the role of Sarek before being cast in one of Trek’s most complex characters.

Happy birthday to Mica Burton — actor, host, and Trek royalty! 🌟 As the daughter of LeVar Burton and a rising star in her own right, she helped bring the next generation into the Star Trek universe.

Happy Birthday to Linda Park, who brought brilliance and heart to Star Trek: Enterprise as Ensign Hoshi Sato! Fun fact: She was just 23 when she took on the role, portraying a genius linguist who helped shape early Starfleet communications.

🖖 Happy Birthday to the legendary Sir Patrick Stewart, who was born this day in 1940. Fun fact: Stewart thought TNG would only last one season — instead, it became iconic. Love that for us!
