The #cryoEM community is meeting again. Next week the #DCI22 symposium will take place in Geneva & Lausanne followed by the #3demgrc. This picture shows the first 3DEMGRC in 1985 and we are delighted that several participants will reunite at DCI22 including all 3 Nobel laureates.

It is all a question of strain. This alpha-synuclein fibril "1B" causes Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) in mice. It resembles parts of the aSyn strain purified from human patients. It is dangerous. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
