We have a couple of newcomers to the Top Jobs Searched list for May. While #HR and Operations have reigned as top #jobs searched in LaborIQ, we're now seeing more demand for #STEM jobs as well as Sales.

#Labormarket strength has been in sharp contrast to the more pessimistic sentiment, especially with tech-heavy layoffs and rising interest rates in the headlines. Our prediction for the second half of 2023 is that the labor market will continue moderating to historic norms.

We had a shift in the top 3️⃣ hiring locations. Dallas moved to #1, followed by NYC, and Chicago came in at third for most jobs searched by city. #Hiring and backfilling roles remain strong, as the competition for #talent increases.

Almost 200K #jobs were added in July with #Healthcare creating a third of that number. This would be a good pace to maintain. #hiring

Education & health services saw a one-month job gain of 100K, with healthcare and social assistance seeing a gain of 87K. Leisure & hospitality, construction, and financial activities also saw job growth. Transportation & warehousing did not, with a loss of 8,400.
