what is one thing that has gone well this week? what is one thing you’d like to work on? for me, i feel like i’m really starting to improve with writing notes! and i am working on my confidence with ultrasound scans 🤓

laughable moment this week: i had my attending sign my paperwork with my pen… which happened to be a pink, sparkly gel pen 😂 needless to say we all had a good laugh - just girly things in medicine 💅🏻✨

Med students, don’t underestimate how much you help your residents! Was drowning today and my med student constantly reminded me of scans that resulted and things to check on throughout the day. The little things help so much 😭 you matter as a med student!

New data: The suicide risk for female physicians is 76% higher than the general population. Women in medicine need your support. We need reasonable workloads, adequate support, respect from colleagues, equitable pay, & work environments absent of discrimination & harassment.

friendly reminder, there is no reward for submitting your ERAS application early. just make sure you get it in a few days before the due date to circumvent any technology problems and potential site crashes. but otherwise, take your time. perfect it. you got this.

show, don’t tell on your personal statements! this can be challenging, but stray away from starting sentences with “I”. this will help facilitate a story and a true personal statement rather than just feeling like bullet points on a resume.
